ACS was awarded the OSHA Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) Star Status in September, 2008.

ACS is only the 14th recipient of this prestigious award in the state of Alaska.  It is a testament

of the level of excellence in the safety and health management system of the company.

ACS has worked for 8 years without a days-away-from-work (DAFW) incident.  In addition, ACS has

accumulated over 1,000,000 safe hours worked since the last "DAFW" on March 13, 2001.

ACS is currently focusing on leading indicators including Advanced Safety Observations, PIRATE Observations, and

Manager's Safety Audits.
